4. Continuously streaming update (CSU) technology for up-to-minute detections. This is not entirely new for v2014, but we now have really buttoned up the whole streaming update infrastructure to allow for reliable, uninterrupted service. We?COre currently doing 350-400 updates a day, which equals to one update in roughly every 3.75 minutes, 24x7, 365 days a year. Streaming updates can now also carry more types of definitions than before.
5. Improved cleaning of malware. This applies to standard malware as well as rootkits and file infectors.

- sometimes after upgrade from the sfx installer, the product requires manual license activation
- IE online security plugin not complete yet

- this build doesn't contain the new Web Shield drivers yet
- minor issues with account registration
- non-English language packs haven't been updated and may not work correctly

The new Motion Camera, Morph Camera and Camera Composition Helper tools in R14 help to quickly frame a 3D scene following artistic rules or easily create realistic and dynamic camera animations while the new Camera Focus Picker gives users control to interactively set focus distances.

Multiple enhancements in R14 bring digital artists a more flexible toolset to achieve greater rendering realism and compositing control that result in outstanding image quality. New and improved shaders and materials are now available for simulating wood grain, weathering effects and normal mapping. Global Illumination has been enhanced with new technologies such as Radiosity Maps and the unified sampler from the Physical Renderer, to let users achieve higher-quality renders in less time and with greater accuracy. New render effects also power up the post-processing workflow.
